Pause, cancellation & refunds

The short version: you never pay for food we did not cook, and we never lose the discount we gave you for a commitment that did not run its course. Everything below follows from those two sentences.

There is no cut-off date. Most subscriptions say “no refunds after day 10”. We do not, because it means cancelling on day 11 costs you everything while day 10 costs you nothing — and that is an argument waiting to happen. Cancel whenever you need to. What you get back changes by one day of food at a time.

1. Pausing a meal or a day

A pause is not a refund. The meal is not cooked, and your plan end date moves out by the same amount, so nothing is lost on either side.

WhatRule
Notice needed2 hours before that meal goes out. After that it is already cooked and packed, so it will be delivered.
How it is creditedEvery full day's worth of paused meals adds one day to the end of your plan.
Limit8 days per plan cycle. Beyond that, message us — we look at it case by case rather than refusing outright.

You can pause from your account at any time. The kitchen is told immediately.

2. Cancelling a plan part-way

Two things happen, and both are shown to you before anything is agreed.

a. The days you have not used are refunded

Simple arithmetic: what you paid, divided by the days on the plan, times the days remaining after the notice period.

b. The days you did use are re-priced

A 30-day plan costs less per day than a 15-day plan, because a longer commitment earns a discount. If you leave on day 12, you did not make a 30-day commitment — so those 12 days are re-charged at the shorter-plan rate, and the difference comes off the refund.

This is the part that keeps the policy fair in the other direction. Without it, someone could take the 30-day price, eat 12 days, and leave — paying less per day than a customer who honestly bought 15 days.

A worked example

You pay ₹9,600 for 30 days and cancel on day 11.

Days not used (19)+ ₹5,644
11 days re-priced from the 30-day rate to the 15-day rate− ₹360
Refunded to you₹5,284

Cancelling one day earlier, on day 10, would have returned ₹5,644 — a difference of one day's food, not a cliff.

Notice period

We buy and prep 2 days ahead. Tell us today and your plan ends the day after tomorrow; those two days are not refundable because the food is already bought. Nothing beyond that is charged.

3. When you get everything back, with no re-pricing

No notice period, no re-rating, no questions beyond a word about what happened:

MedicalIllness or a dietary change on medical advice.
HospitalisationYours or an immediate family member's.
RelocationYou move outside our delivery area.
Our faultWe could not deliver what we promised.

4. Cancelling before the first delivery

Full refund. If a paid consultation and a custom plan were already prepared, only that fee is retained, and it is shown separately on your bill so you always know what it is.

5. If something goes wrong at our end

SituationWhat we do
A box never reached youRefunded or credited in full, always. Every box is tracked from the kitchen to your door, so we do not need you to prove it.
Delivered late, outside the windowTell us. We hold the delivery record and will credit it where the delay was ours.
Wrong dish, or something you had asked us to avoidReplaced the same day where we can, credited where we cannot.

6. How to cancel

Message us on WhatsApp or tell your dietitian. We will send you the calculation above, itemised, before anything is processed — so you can check it rather than take our word for it. Once you agree, refunds are returned by the same method you paid with, normally within 5 to 7 working days.

Before you cancel, consider a pause. If you are travelling or unwell for a stretch, pausing keeps your plan and your price, and the days come back to you at the end. Cancelling gives up the commitment discount on the days you already ate.
